The mouth syringe
The most reliable way to administer our EQUISOLVAN® products is directly via the oral syringe.
The mouth syringe is inserted laterally into the toothless area of the mouth and the liquid is applied directly to the tongue. Many horses get used to it after just a few applications and accept the mouth syringe without any problems.
Direct administration ensures that the product reaches the horse’s mouth completely and the daily amount is reliably maintained.
Horses that eat selectively or reject supplements in their feed can also be reliably supported in this way.
EQUISOLVAN® for "stubborn" horses
Even though direct administration in the mouth is the most reliable method, our EQUISOLVAN® products can easily be administered via the feed if required. This can make the products easier to use, especially at the start of use or for horses with sensitive tastes.
The liquid can be added to the crib feed so that it is fully absorbed.
The right amount
For safe and even application, the daily ration can be conveniently set using the finely adjustable wheel on the open-mouth syringe. This allows the exact amount of product required to be determined without the need for additional measuring.
Especially at the beginning, it is advisable to give our EQUISOLVAN® products in a small amount and gradually increase this until the recommended daily amount is reached. This allows the horses to become accustomed to the products and their use.
Durability through hygiene
Thanks to the mouth syringe, which is screwed onto the product bottle, the liquid does not come into contact with spoons, measuring cups or horse saliva. As a result, the liquids remain stable, safe and unchanged in quality. This not only protects the product from contamination, but also ensures that it has a long shelf life even after opening.
This means that our EQUISOLVAN® products can be used flexibly whenever horses need support, for example during seasonal challenges such as the change of coat or gastrointestinal stress in fall and winter, without the product having to be used up immediately.
Duration of use of EQUISOLVAN® products
Our EQUISOLVAN® products are ideal for use as a cure when short-term support is required.
A minimum duration of seven days has proven to be effective in keeping the horse’s organism stable. Even if the load is already decreasing, it may be advisable to continue the administration for a further two days in order to fully exploit the positive effect.
It always makes sense to use it when horses need additional support – for example in cases of acute respiratory stress, an imbalanced gastrointestinal tract or phases of particular stress.
