This winter the cough was particularly bad and lasted for a long time. Even medication from the vet was not the final solution. So, in addition to plenty of exercise, I also tried various freely available cough syrups. In the end, a friend recommended EQUISOLVAN<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> RESPIRE<sup>PLUS<\/sup> to me. It was worth a try.<\/p>\n<p>In short: after feeding a bottle of EQUISOLVAN<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> RESPIRE<sup>PLUS<\/sup>, the cough was gone.<br \/>This is a thick syrup that should be administered directly into the horse&#8217;s mouth using the applicator provided, similar to a worming treatment.<\/p>\n<p>According to the manufacturer, the syrup is &#8220;extremely palatable&#8221;, which neither my pony nor I can confirm (I tried it myself). So I gave the syrup over a little amount of feed, which worked wonderfully and was still effective. After a few days I had the impression that the cough was getting worse, but mucus was also coming out, so I continued to feed for the time being. When I had almost finished the bottle, my pony&#8217;s cough had also disappeared and even now that he has not been given the product for a few weeks, he remains cough-free. I will definitely keep another bottle of EQUISOLVAN<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> RESPIRE<sup>PLUS<\/sup> on hand for the next cough season.
