Jenny's feedback
Over the last few years, my pony has been suffering from a cough during the fall and winter months. This winter it was particularly bad and lasted for a long time. Even medication from the vet was not a definitive solution. So, in addition to plenty of exercise, I also tried various freely available cough syrups. At the end of my Latin, a friend recommended EQUISOLVAN® RESPIREPLUS to me. “What harm could it do” I thought. It was worth a try.
In short: after administering a bottle of EQUISOLVAN® RESPIREPLUS, the cough was gone.
This is a thick syrup that should be administered directly into the horse’s mouth using the applicator provided, similar to a worming treatment.
According to the manufacturer, the syrup is “extremely palatable”, which neither my pony nor I can confirm (I tried it myself). So I gave the syrup over a little manger feed, which worked wonderfully and was still effective. After a few days I had the impression that the cough was getting worse, but mucus was also coming out, so I continued to feed for the time being. When I had almost finished the bottle, my pony’s cough had also disappeared and even now that he has not been given the product for a few weeks, he remains cough-free. I will definitely keep another bottle of EQUISOLVAN® RESPIREPLUS on hand for the next cough season. And then feed
directly at the first sign.
Pony and I are happy!
